According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report, creativity is one the most valuable skills people will need to stay relevant in our rapidly evolving contemporary workforce. In the Visual and Media Arts Pathway, students learn to hone their creative problem solving skills, while solving real-world design problems.

The Visual and Media Arts program at Academy of Arts and Academics is for students who are interested in a career in the arts and creative industries. The program introduces students to the world of graphic design, product design, photography and videography. This program builds creative thinking and problem solving skills, technical proficiency, visual communications and storytelling.

  • Exhibit work in gallery setting.

  • Design and create a variety or artworks, graphic materials and products.
  • Portfolio of digital and hand-made creative work, including artworks, graphic materials and product designs.
  • Cultivate visual communication skills using a variety of techniques and mediums.
  • Solve design problems using collaboration and design thinking skills.
  • Create effective visually compelling designs.
  • Become proficient in art and design principles.
  • Use the design process to solve visual design and communication problems.
  • Use industry relevant software, tools and technology to create art and design work and visually communicate ideas.
